Okoboji

When we were growing up, we went to Okoboji almost every year for vacation to the bible conference. There were days of spending the hot afternoons in the lake, we didn't have a big fancy boat, but we had fun just enjoying the simple things. There were quick trips to the Emporium to get some candy at "The Sugar Shack" to eat during church that night. Nutty bars and the old taffy machine at Arnold's Park. Mom, Sean and I will never forget "Vern's, where we stayed one year, and Sean crawled through the window.
Okoboji wasn't very far away from our house, we brought our own food and cooked all our own meals. It wasn't a big fancy vacation, but it provided some great memories and it will always hold a magical feeling in our hearts.
Just a couple weeks ago, we went to Okoboji for a day to hang out with Justin's family. I got to see how Okoboji has changed over the years, introduce Justin to a Nutty bar, and just remember all the fun that was had over the years of growing up.
