39 Weeks!
Here is what baby is up to this week
Your baby's waiting to greet the world! He continues to build a layer of fat to help control his body temperature after birth, but it's likely he already measures about 20 inches and weighs a bit over 7 pounds, a mini watermelon. (Boys tend to be slightly heavier than girls.) The outer layers of his skin are sloughing off as new skin forms underneath. from babycenter.com
Still doing good! Getting a lot more done, and feeling more prepared. Finally, feel like the nursery has come together, got my Christmas shopping almost completed, wrapped, and shipped, errands ran, etc. etc. This weekend we don't have anything planned so we have just been able to hang out at home, so that has been nice!
Here is a 38 week picture. Excuse the swollen face. It was taken last Sunday afternoon after being in the car a total of around 11 hours last weekend. 11 hours in the car and 38 weeks and some odd days pregnant = swelling! Thankfully it has gone down this week.

Also, I got the tree up this week. It was a lot of fun to do since I actually had the time to do it. Now the little man will have a Christmas tree to come home to. I also added all of the ornaments to our tree this year that my mom gave me a few years ago from when I was a kid. I lined them all up, there were a couple years missing, but for the most part there was one for every year. One of my favorites that I found was the dog in the basket from 2005, the year we got Dakota.

Tonight, we went to Clear Lake's Annual Christmas by the Lake. It was good to get out, get some fresh air, and enjoy the Christmas parade, and fireworks over the frozen lake. I'm not usually one for fireworks, but I enjoyed the show tonight. They were better than some 4th of July fireworks! The best was the big fireball at the end. What seemed like thousands of people lined the streets and braved the Iowa cold to enjoy the festivities.
Have a great weekend everyone!
